Using Quitpod

Terms of service

Last updated: 11 September 2026

These terms cover the Quitpod web app at quitpod.app, operated by Nicholas Holden. Contact support@quitpod.app for support, billing questions or complaints. By using Quitpod, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

What the app provides

Quitpod offers a course, journalling, a quit plan, breathing practices and optional AI conversations to support adults aged 18 and over who want to quit vaping. The course and local tools are free. An internet connection, a compatible browser and Google sign-in are needed for the hosted AI features.

Quitpod provides general wellbeing information. It is not medical treatment, diagnosis, therapy or an emergency service. AI responses may be inaccurate or unsuitable. Use your judgement and seek qualified advice for medical concerns. Contact local emergency services when urgent help is needed. We do not guarantee that using Quitpod will lead to a particular health or quitting outcome.

Your account and saved information

Use your own account, keep access to it secure and do not share or sell it. Each account receives 10 free AI requests in total. Creating accounts or manipulating requests to bypass allowances, payments or security controls is not permitted.

Your book bookmarks sync through your account when connected. Offline changes are saved on the device and retried later; if another device has changed the same bookmark, its newer server version takes precedence. With your AI-sharing agreement, your quit profile, plan answers, vaping status and course progress are also saved to your account and updated for support in the app and linked WhatsApp conversations. Your quit profile and plan also sync between signed-in devices. This support snapshot does not restore course progress and is not a full app backup. App chats, journals and private task and journey notes stay on the device after sign-out. Turn off AI sharing to clear saved quit context, or delete your account to remove account data. Browser storage can be cleared or lost. Keep your own copy of anything you need and clear local data before sharing a device. Our privacy policy explains how information is handled.

AI requests and paid options

One message, generated reading or check-in uses one AI request, including when more than one companion replies. Opening a screen and using the free tools do not spend AI credits. If no reply is delivered, the request is returned to your allowance; a partially delivered reply can count as a used request.

Available paid options, the number of requests included, currency and price are displayed before purchase. Stripe processes checkout. A one-time top-up is charged once. If you select an available subscription, checkout identifies the recurring price and billing interval; it renews until cancelled. Choose only the option you intend to buy.

Paid access is added to the signed-in account after payment confirmation. Contact us if payment succeeds but access does not appear. AI credits are for using Quitpod, are not transferable money and cannot be sold or exchanged between accounts.

Cancellation and purchase problems

You can request cancellation or help with any payment by emailing support@quitpod.app with the account email and receipt reference. For a subscription, use billing management when available or contact us before the next renewal to stop future charges. Clearing browser data or signing out does not cancel a subscription.

You may have a statutory right to cancel a digital service or content purchase within 14 days. Any request to start delivery immediately and any legally required acknowledgement about cancellation rights must be presented at purchase; these terms alone do not waive those rights. If a purchase is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied, contact us for the remedy you are entitled to under applicable consumer law.

To request cancellation, you can send: “I wish to cancel my Quitpod purchase”, followed by your name, account email, order date and receipt reference. No particular wording is required. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights.

Respectful and lawful use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, to harass others, to submit material you have no right to share, to disrupt the service or to attempt unauthorised access. Do not automate excessive requests or attempt to evade usage limits. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, fraud, security problems or legal obligations. You can contact us to query a restriction.

You retain your rights in what you write. You permit us and our service providers to process content you submit as needed to supply the features you request, as described in the privacy policy. Our app and course materials remain protected by their applicable intellectual property rights; you may use them for your personal use through Quitpod.

Availability, changes and responsibility

We aim to keep Quitpod available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Features and AI providers may change, and maintenance or third-party outages can interrupt service. We will provide notice of material changes where reasonably possible and respect existing purchases and applicable refund rights if a paid feature is withdrawn.

We are responsible for supplying the service with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability where the law does not allow it, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Updated terms will be published here with a new date. Material changes will be brought to your attention where appropriate; changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to a completed purchase.
